【摘要】:Theserequirementscoverpigtailsandflexiblehoseconnectorsusedintheassemblyoffuel-supplysystemsotherthanthoseoutlinedin1.2(b)and(c),intendedforliquefiedpetroleumgas(LP-Gas).Loworhighpressureflexiblehoseconnectorsarealsosuitableforlowpressure(1.0psig(6.9kPa)orless)naturalgasservice.LP-GassystemsuseeitherDepartmentofTransportation(DOT)cylindersorASMEtanksandareintendedtobeinstalledinaccordancewiththeStandardfortheStorageandHandlingofLiquefiedPetroleumGases,NFPA/ANSI58.LowpressureflexiblehoseconnectorsusedinnaturalgassystemsareintendedtobeinstalledinaccordancewiththeNationalFuelGasCode,NFPA54/ANSIZ223.1.Pigtailsandflexiblehoseconnectorsareusedtomakeconnectionbetweenpartsofequipmentorbetweenequipmentandservicepiping.ThisStandarddoesnotapplyto:(a)Gasapplianceconnectorsforhandlingfuelgasesat5psig(34.5kPa)orlesswhichareinvestigatedundertheStandardforMetalConnectorsforGasAppliances,ANSIZ21.24.(b)FlexiblehoseconnectorsforenginefuelapplicationswhichareinvestigatedundertheOutlineofInvestigation,Subject1785,"LP-GasFuelHoseandHoseAssembliesforVehicleEngines."(c)Flexiblehoseconnectorsforuseinconfinedareas.(d)HoseconnectorswhichareinvestigatedundertheStandardforGasHoseConnectorsforPortableOutdoorGas-FiredAppliances,ANSIZ21.54.
