【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversflexiblewatertightjointsforconcretepipeandprecastmanholesections,usingrubbergasketsforsealingthejoints,whereinfiltrationorexfiltrationisafactorinthedesign.Thespecificationcoversthedesignofjointsandtherequirementsforrubbergasketstobeusedtherewith,forpipeconforminginallotherrespectstoSpecificationC14,SpecificationC76,orSpecificationC507andprecastmanholesectionconforminginallotherrespectstoSpecificationC478,providedthatifthereisconflictinpermissiblevariationsindimensionstherequirementsofthisspecificationforjointsshallgovern.1.2AcompletemetriccompaniontoSpecificationC443hasbeendevelopedC443M;therefore,nometricequivalentsarepresentedinthisspecification.Note18212;Thisspecificationcoversthedesignandperformanceoftherubbergasketjointonly.Jointscoveredbythisspecificationarenormallyadequateforhydrostaticpressuresupto13psi(30ft)withoutleakage,whentestedinaccordancewithSection9.Infiltrationorexfiltrationquantitiesforaninstalledpipelinearedependentuponmanyfactorsotherthanthejoints,andallowablequantitiesmustbecoveredbyotherspecificationsandsuitabletestingoftheinstalledpipelineandsystem.
