【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoversthreeproceduresfordeterminingtheevaporationlossoflubricatingoils(particularlyengineoils).ProcedureAusestheNoackevaporativetesterequipment;ProcedureBusestheautomatednon-WoodsmetalNoackevaporativeapparatus;andProcedureCusesSelby-Noackvolatilitytestequipment.Thetestmethodrelatestoonesetofoperatingconditionsbutmaybereadilyadaptedtootherconditionswhenrequired.NoackresultsdeterminedusingProceduresAandBshowconsistentdifferences.ProcedureAgivesslightlylowerresultsversusProcedureBonformulatedengineoils,whileProcedureAgiveshigherresultsversusProcedureBonbasestocks.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
